How are you guys doing in the Media Fast? First week was easy. Second week is tough! I have no idea what’s going on in the world. I just bought a newspaper the other day and I was loathe to find that it’s $1! So I decided to contribute to the economy by buying the paper. One benefit of doing so is that I’m working out (I’m holding the paper up). I definitely wouldn’t have done this with online news. Another benefit for the media fast is that I’m talking to my son more than I usually do because he’s keeping me posted on the NBA playoffs.

I am constantly on email and this can be very distracting. SO I want to restrict email usage – no emails on Sunday evening and Monday. All other days, I will restrict email hours to 11am to 11pm, especially to guard the morning hours to spend in God’s word!
